  • Research Article — a complete, original study with methods, results, and discussion (typically 4,000–8,000 words).
  • Review Article — a critical, structured synthesis of the state of the art in a defined topic, normally by invitation or after a pre-submission enquiry.
  • Short Communication — a concise report of significant preliminary results or a focused finding (typically up to 3,000 words).
  • Case Study / Technical Note — a practical engineering or materials case with clear, transferable lessons.

All manuscript types undergo the same double-anonymized peer review. Only manuscripts within the journal's Aims & Scope are considered.
